We encourage people to grow their own nails, naturally and have had some great results with clients and readers over the last 4 years.
You will need:
1. A Green Hands Glass Nail File
2. Green Hands Cuticle Oil
3. A nail brush
4. Hand cream and determination!
Starting point - every nail needs to be the same length, if you bite your nails make a conscious decision to find another nasty habit for six weeks and see if you can kick biting your nails! If you aren't a biter, but can't get your nails to grow and you can see some white you may well manage this in 4 weeks. Give it a go.
So get filing: every nail to the same length, file straight across the top and from outside to centre. On very short nails you should follow the shape of your 'smile line' where the pink meets the white. Avoid filing down the sides, you mustn't make a rounded shape until you can see your nail over the end of your finger from the other side!
Apply cuticle oil to every nail as part of your bedtime routine.
Change your handsoap to a more gentle and less harsh and drying formulation, try Lavera or Suma.
Maintain your usual hand cream routine. (Unless you don't have one! in which case, cream in the morning, after lunch and before bed works for me!)
Re-apply cuticle oil during the day, after hand washing, or whenever your nails feel dry.
If you catch a nail, file it immediately, remembering to file all your nails to the same length.
Make a note of when you filed your nails last, and aim to do a very light accross all nails file every 4 to 5 days.
Keep it up and email me at the end of your plan and let me know how you got on, take a "before" and "after" photo and send it to me! I'll be thrilled to see your progress.
