Cosmetics and common toxins in the news
Many solvent
based
nail
varnishes commonly contain Toluene, Formaldehyde and
(until recently in Europe) Phthalates, these are known irritants and
harmful chemicals.
Hand creams commonly contain questionable preservatives such as parabens, along with cheap and
artificial mineral oils and other harsh chemical substances or bi-products.
By
making lifestyle choices such as, shopping locally, buying
organic and renewable plant based products and fair-trade where possible.
We can support and
evolve the products and services available to us. This
doesn't stop at food and farmers markets, we need to take a
look in our bathroom cabinets and our make-up bags too! |
