| I began Green Hands in 2005 because I love great nails, but was worried about the products I was using.
I decided to offer something a bit different, I discovered how my own bathroom cabinet was jammed full of harsh chemical substances and made some big changes.
Our philosophy is responsible personal care.
An ethical and environmentally responsible lifestyle should be a no-brainer these days. However, the pampering, beauty and body care industry is jammed full of harsh chemical substances, harmful toxins such as Toluene, Phthalates and Formaldehyde, underpaid source suppliers and exploited workers.
Green Hands is the response of one young woman who enjoys having great nails, she has in the past used acrylic, uv gel and fibreglass enhancements, has used virtually every brand of nail polish, nail strengtheners and hand cream you can imagine and who has decided to offer something a bit different.
Whether you have natural or enhanced and extended nails you can still use water based polishes, and you will be making a difference!
Great nails do not have to come at the cost of your future health, that of your Nail Technician, the livelihood of future generations or the environment.
Green Hands have put together a group of products from like-minded organisations; these products have been extensively field-tested. The well documented differences in your manicure routine may take a little getting used to, the resulting flawless yet natural manicure and pedicure will contribute to an immense feeling of satisfaction.

All products sold on this site have been investigated thoroughly; many are purchased direct from small family run manufacturers. The pedigree and ingredients of all products are known; where appropriate these ingredients are listed.
Green Hands also operate a zero tolerance on animal testing. No products sold on the Green Hands site have ever been tested on animals, many are approved by the vegan society and this information is listed where appropriate.
Each supplier is also committed and uses ingredients that also require no animal testing. Should you need further information please let me know. We know of only a few ingredients that come from the insect kingdom. One being beeswax which can be found in ointments and some creams. The other is carmine, used as a colour in some Suncoat Polishes. Those that don't contain it are marked as Vegan.
Green Hands are proud to share these products with you, each order comes hand wrapped and where possible packing materials are recycled.
